Clutch Meets Kitchen

My battle with storing clutches properly has been long and hard.  I’ve tried hooks and bag racks and shelves and bins, but nothing has satisfied me.  Even the clutches with straps just don’t hang well.  When it comes time to use the one in the very back of the rack, it’s like navigating a maze of chains, and tangles are inevitable.  To stack them on a shelf usually results in a domino effect and an adult temper tantrum triggered by the stress of making a mess and being late ( for me, at least ;] ). So, throwing these beauties in a drawer was my last resort, which I reluctantly accepted.

Until…….

I was trying to find ways to utilize limited cabinet space in my kitchen and decided that pot lid holders would help.  In my search, I found these and when they arrived, I immediately filled them with the lids and watched new cabinet space appear.  As I stood back in admiration, my organizational light-bulb went off:  CLUTCH HOLDERS WERE BEFORE MY EYES!

Pot Lid Holders (from Amazon) Under $10 each!

As quickly as I filled these with pot lids, I removed them and made sure that my clutches fit.  To my surprise, not only did they work perfectly, but one rack held up to 8 clutches, including my larger/thicker ones.

Picture shows (8) clutches of different shape & size fitting perfectly!

I ordered 2 more on the spot and now both my pot lids and my clutches have the home they deserve.  I currently have mine on display on a shelf in my bedroom, but if space is limited, these can easily be stored under a bed, in a closet (on a shelf or the floor) or on a dresser or desk.

From this mess….
…..to this miracle!

Let me know what you think or what you use to store yours today.  If you try this method, I’d love to hear from you! 🙂

Mariss
