15 Minute Daytime Glow

I’m sorry I’ve been so MIA, but life has been super hectic lately and I have not had the free time that I once had to devote to these posts. That said, my favorite season is upon us and I’m sticking with a quick and easy theme to help out my fellow busy babes. Whether you are strapped for time, not willing to spend an hour getting ready, or feeling like full glam is not appropriate for the warm outdoors, this post is for you!

I’ve been obsessed with simple beach waves and very minimal makeup for summer days.  It definitely helps having been sun-kissed with a natural tan to feel better without as much coverage, but just about anyone can pull off a dewy glow.  With just a handful of products and about 15 minutes of your time, you can achieve the below and get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Starting with the hair: While wet, brush it out and spray Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray ($5 for an 8 Oz bottle) all over while lightly scrunching hair with your hands.  I like to flip my head over and do this again to ensure I get all of it.  *I also recently received this Ouai Wave Spray in one of my Ipsy bags (shout-out to Ipsy!!) and fell in love, but it is on the pricey side at $25 for 1.7 Oz.  I recommend it if your wallet allows, but Not Your Mother’s is an amazing alternative at a much lower cost.

I then follow this up with a quick spray of my absolute favorite brand for hair products, ORIBE Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray (this is on the pricey side at$22 for 2.1 Fl Oz or $42 for 8.5 Fl Oz, but a little goes a long way and it smells like heaven).  You can skip this step if this does not fit within your budget, and substitute for any shine spray of your choice, but my naturally dry/frizzy hair needs some extra TLC (and this is the only brand that works best for me).  If it is an extra humid day, I like to finish this off with a quick spritz of ORIBE Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray (amaaaazing for frizz/fly aways)!!!

Moving onto the face: Prime with FARSÁLI Rose Gold Elixir (I am addicted to this stuff and LOVE that it’s made with all natural ingredients).  Use sparingly, especially if you are naturally oily (use on lips as well to moisturize) and follow with BECCA Cosmetics – Backlight Priming Filter (I ONLY use this in the summer months as it is very illuminating and a bit too drying for my skin in the harsh winter air).  Follow-up with minimal foundation/concealer (if you feel you need it) and lightly brush cheeks/contour areas with bronzer of choice (my personal favorite is Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer)

Using a damp beauty blender (very important for application) highlight cheekbones with Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter and top with my all time #1 favorite, BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in the color “Opal” (seriously, I live for this one) using a Morphe M500 Deluxe Pointed Blender brush for precision.

Using a Mikasa E310 Pencil Brush (use code “GLAMABEAUTY25” for 25% off) or a MAC 219 Pencil Brush, dab the same Becca Highlight, but in the color, Pearl,on inner corners of the eye, beneath the brow bone, down bridge of the nose, on cupids bow and chin.  Finish by lining waterline with LORAC Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in “Nude” and spraying face with NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray (I like to do this BEFORE mascara).  Top off with favorite mascara of choice (mine at the moment is drugstore brand, MAYBELLINE Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara)

While there’s a few steps, it’s VERY quick and simple and you will be out the door in 15 minutes looking like a natural, glowing goddess!
